SHEENA

Adopted Date: 18 December 2021

Email - 8 March 2022

Good morning Jen,

Good news on Sheena- her heartworm test was done yesterday and is negative so your investment in the treatment worked!  Also, her weight was 85 at her January 24th vet visit but since then she’s down 4 lbs. - heading in the right direction!

She seems happy here with me and the cats and is joyous whenever we get back home from errands etc.  I’ve had her in various care situations when I had to be gone more than a couple hours and she’s done well with the separation- much like dropping a child at daycare… waits by the door until she’s distracted.  She makes friends with other dogs and can be protective but is not aggressive.

She is playful and has a couple games she plays on me when we’re outside.  Here’s a few photos- she’ll roll onto her back when she’s happy or wants a belly rub- too funny!

Have a great day!
Kim

SHEENA

Adopted - 18 December 2021

Email - 21 December 2021

Hi Jen,
Sending a few pics - she is an incredible gem!  She’s adjusting to my expectations of her re:  minor behaviors i.e. sit at door, sit to get leash on/off.  She catches on quickly, beginning to anticipate these actions.
She stays in her room until cats have eaten and i can pick up their dishes, then gate is opened.

She likes going up stairs and is getting more agile at it- good exercise!

We did our first actual walk along the brewer riverfront yesterday- road traffic makes her nervous so I’ll work with her to help her feel safe.

The cats are doing very well with her- even more skittish female came downstairs and walked past Sheena as she lay in living room.  I am beside myself with joy at having her with us!  Thank you so much for investing in her rescue- she’s one in a million to me.

Cheers!
Kim
