JACK-JACK was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services, KILL Shelter in Texas.

JACK-JACK is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed and micro-chipped and heartworm tested negative. CERRILL has an estimated date of birth of 27 January 2014 and at the time of rescue weighted 14.00 pounds.

JACK-JACK is currently being boarded at Deason Animal Hospital in Floresvillle since we had no foster homes available and could not let him be killed.
Whilst there we asked for a thorough examination to be conducted and it came to light that this handsome young boy tested positive for Ehrlichia Canis-Ewingii. This is a none-contagious tick-borne disease and treatment which consists of approximately 2 months of the antibiotic "Doxycycline" was started immediately. JACK-JACK is not showing any symptoms of the disease

The staff at the vets have all fallen in love with JACK-JACK and say he is very sweet and loving.

JACK-JACK would benefit from a family who understands the terrier mentality and needs. He will need basic and advanced obedience and this is always best done with his new family so all can learn each others personalities, body language, expectations and boundaries for all can be set.

JACK-JACK needs a family that understands he may need time to gain confidence and build trust, he will need patience and training with a family that is firm so he understands the rules, but fair so he can feel safe and secure. With this time and understanding JACK-JACK will be a happy, loving, confident boy in no time.

If JACK-JACK is adopted before his treatment is complete, all antibiotics will be sent with him.

JACK-JACK is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450.

If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy and giving him the life he needs and deserves our application can be completed and submitted on our website under the APPLICATION tab.

JACK-JACK is being boarded at our vets located in San Antonio, TEXAS. Transport to the east coast is available for an additional $175 that is paid directly to the transport company. We post in states along the east coast and Canada  as this gives our precious saved souls more exposure and once adopted, we are able to save more dogs from the kill shelters in Texas that get 3 days before they are killed.
