MOPSEY was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services, a High Kill Shelter in Texas a day before she was due to be KILLED.

MOPSEY is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, micro-chipped and heartworm tested negative. MOPSEY has an estimated date of birth of 14 August 2013-. She weighs around 16 pounds.

MOPSEY when first saved was extremely fearful of both human and other dogs, however, having been at the rescue now for over a month she has become playful, albeit choosy with which dogs she wants to play with. She is a lot more relaxed with humans and is happy to come and sit and curl up on my lap. With other dogs she is happy to be amongst them, but can get a little possessive with toys and when she has food. She has not been aggressive but does growl and warn off anyone that comes near her. She does respond to correction and so I do believe that this would be very easy to train out of her and help her to understand that there is no need for that behaviour.

MOPSEY will need a family that understands that she will most likely need a little time to adjust to her new home and family and build up trust.

MOPSEY will benefit from basic and advanced training with her family. This will help with the bonding and will help all humans and MOPSEY set and learn boundaries, expectations and learn each others body language. MOPSEY would love a family that will take her to lots of places and explore the sights, sounds and smells that the world has to offer. She does jump up, but is responsive and generally well mannered. 

MOPSEY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350
