DE'JE was saved from Fort Worth Animal Care and Control a High Kill Shelter in Texas.

DE'JE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 20 October 2011 and at time of rescue she weighed around 60 pounds.

DE'JE is a beautiful girl who when first pulled from the shelter was extremely shy and nervous. However, in her foster home whilst waiting for transport and at the rescue she has gained confidence. still has a lot of weight to gain, she is very skinny but slowly starting to gain weight and her personality is starting to shine through.

DE'JE appears to have had puppies sometime most likely in the last 6 months, but they was not picked up with her at the shelter. She does tend to mother the puppies that we have here in the rescue and is happy to have them climbing all over her.

DE'JE gets on great with other dogs, at times she can get a little jealous if other dogs try and come to me for some love and affection, but she has never shown any aggression and is very responsive to being told NO! I do think that in a home environment with another dog should could have alpha tendencies. I do not think she would be aggressive to get the alpha spot, but she will try for the position.

We have three rabbits and DE'JE sits beside their hutches in the living room and watches with fascination as they run around playing. She has never tried to get to the rabbits and I do not believe that she would do any harm, she is just extremely curious. We do not have cats in rescue and as with the rabbits I do not think she would do them any harm, but since cats will most likely run  off I imagine her to chase them and if she got to them would maybe be a little rough with them, so caution and training would be needed if cats were in the family.

DE'JE is very intelligent and needs basic and advanced obedience training. It is best for the family to plan to train him as this will set boundaries, expectations and allows both human and dog to learn each others personalities and body language. I believe she would excel and enjoy all training and any kind of activity, she has a lot of energy and is very agile. She would benefit an active family that has the time to spend with him to work on training and bonding and be able to take her to lots of different places so that she can enjoy all the different, sights, smells and sounds the world has to offer.

DE'JE is very sweet and affectionate and deserves a family that can give him the love and happiness that this stunning girl deseves.

DE'JE is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450.

DE'JE is currently located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine, however, we post in states along the east coast where transport is available.this gives our precious saved souls more exposure and once adopted, we are able to save more dogs from the kill shelters in Texas that get 3 days before they are killed.

We love it when families can take a trip to meet the dogs before taking them home, but understand this is not always possible and so work in arranging transport to pick up from the rescue in Sebec and can meet up with families around the Middleton, CT area. This can come at an additional cost, generally between $100 - $150 and is paid directly to the transport.
