YOLA (female) & YOLO (Male) are siblings that were owner surrenders to Fort Worth Kill Shelter in Texas. Both are very close and will only be adopted out together.

YOLA & YOLO are spayed/neutered, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heartworm tested negative and micro-chipped.

YOLA & YOLA are available for adoption as a bonded pair through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $700

I was told that they was surrendered because the owner could not handle them and our temporary foster in Texas did say that they was rather wild when she first brought them home. Since being here at the rescue in Sebec, they have calmed down a little and have settled into the routine here. Being young they are still extremely playful, energetic and boisterous, which is to be expected for young German Shepherd Dogs.

Although still very excitable, YOLA & YOLO are very responsive and with regular routine, training and consistency I do feel that they would be very easy to train. YOLO is the more confident and at times YOLA does follow his lead, however, she is getting more confident and independent the longer she is here. They do always hang out together and even when playing with other dogs they are together and it is rare to see them not sleeping close to each other.

YOLA & YOLO will need a family that has the time and energy to dedicate to these beautiful siblings, both are skinny and need to gain more weight, YOLA weighing around 50 pounds and YOLO around 70 pounds, both could easily gain another 10-15 pounds, possibly more.

YOLA & YOLO will benefit from a family that has experience with large young German Shepherd Dogs they can be a handful and without the proper understanding of their needs, they nor their family will be happy. They need a lot of exercise, mental and physical, they need strong leadership from their family and they need guidance and understanding as they once again transition from what they consider home to their new, this time FOREVER home.

YOLA & YOLO will need at the very minimum basic and advanced obedience training with their family. This allows both dogs and humans to learn from each other, to understand boundaries and expectations, to learn each others body language and personalities, which is very important in a GSD/Human relationship
