TRAMP was saved from Fort Worth Animal Shelter in Texas. He was transported from Texas to Sebec, Maine and arrived at the rescue on 12th August 2015.

TRAMP is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 5 August 2013 and at the time of rescue he weighed around 14 pounds.

TRAMP is a sweet boy, who is relatively quiet among the other dogs. He can be a little "nippy" if he is nervous or feels like he has been cornered, but other than that, he is very friendly. He does have a slightly dominant nature in that he will "mount" other dogs. He is not aggressive, and does stop if the other dog gets irritated, but he can be persistent. I am sure this is something that will subside with time, since he has been through a lot of changes in a short time and being in the vicinity of a lot of dogs, often they feel the need to find their place.

TRAMP will benefit from a family that has time to let him integrate at his own pace so that he doesn't feel pressured. He would love to go out for road trips and visit new places, taking in the sights, smells and sounds of the world. He would be good with another dog, but I do not know how he would be with cats, since we do not have cats in the rescue. I do think he would be good with children, as long as they totally understand that he will need his space at times and to respect that.

TRAMP is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.

If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious boy who was close to being killed a wonderful life, please go to our website and complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 3-7 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.

The rescue is located in Sebec, Maine, 04481 and we do prefer if families can travel up to meet the dog before taking them home to start their new lives, however, we do understand that this is not always possible and will work with you in finding suitable transport to get them to you. This may come at an additional cost to the adopter.
