JENNY was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 20 April 2015. I was advised to keep a close eye on her as when she had come round from her spay surgery the day before she had a very high pulse and was in shock. They had her on iv fluids throughout the night and she was much better the next day.
At the rescue I put her in a crate in the bathroom where it is quieter and she could rest, but I could also keep an eye on her. She showed no signs of distress and was eating and drinking and so after a few days, I let her with the rest of the pack and she has been doing great.
JENNY isn't a dog has that crazy energy and is always running around and wrestling, she is very laid back and is happy to lie on the doggy-deck and watch the world go by. She has a very calm demeanor. She doesn't jump up, she doesn't beg, she is just a very pleasant and enjoyable girl to have here at the rescue.
JENNY will benefit from a family that has got time to spend with her and give her the love that she has clearly not experienced in her life. She will be happy to go where you go, be it for long walks, car rides or just sitting around relaxing with her own forever family. JENNY is however, still young at 3 years old and will still need daily exercise and activity.
We do not have cats in the rescue so I cannot comment on how she is around cats, however, I am sure with the correct guidance and training and letting her satisfy her curiosity she will be fine. She has not shown any kind of prey drive since she has been here.
JENNY is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, tested negative for heart-worm disease and is micro-chipped. JENNY has an estimated date of birth of 14 April 2012 and at the time of rescue she weighed 60.20 pounds.
JENNY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $170
