INKY was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services. She was one of our traditional anniversary saves.

INKY is a beautiful, loving girl. She is very affectionate and is very responsive. She does get a little bit jealous of the other dogs, but has not shown any aggression. INKY will do great in a family on her own, or maybe one other dog, but when with a lot of dogs, she tends to irritate them, I"m not sure what she does to cause it.

INKY does great in a car and would make a great traveling companion, she seems to prefer being with humans and would be happy to go for nice long walks, hikes, road trips and any other kind of adventure.

INKY is fairly active, being only 2 years old she would love a family that can take her to places to explore and take in the sights and smells of the world. INKY will need some training and this is good for the family to set boundaries and guidelines of what is expected from her.

INKY is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. She weighs around 40 pounds and has been given a date of birth of 12 February 2012.

INKY is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue.

INKY is currently located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine, however, we post in states along the east coast where transport is available.this gives our precious saved souls more exposure and once adopted, we are able to save more dogs from the kill shelters in Texas that get 3 days before they are killed.

We love it when families can take a trip to meet the dogs before taking them home, but understand this is not always possible and so work in arranging transport to or closer to families homes. This can come at an additional cost, generally between $100 - $150 and is paid directly to the transport.
