MERCK was saved from Irving Animal Services. He was reported as having a severe fracture to his rear leg.

MERCK was taken to Alverardo Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. Beam performed surgery. The break was an older break and so a callous had already started to form in the bodies, self healing process.

A plate was attached to the bones to allign them and MERCK has a splint on for a few weeks to ensure stability during healing.

MERCK is a totally loveable dog, he is so happy, playful and eager to get back to running around, which of course for the next few weeks he is not allowed to run around.

MERCK is a big boy, although currently he weighs around 63 pounds, he could easily be a 90 pound boy. MERCK is estimated to be around 3 years old.

MERCK is neutered, rabies, HW Negative, core vaccines and microchipped.

GaDaH does allow out of state adoptions, however, we do require the family to travel to San Antonio to spend time with the dog to be sure that a perfect personality match. Then they can all travel home together as a perfect family.
