MAXIMUS was saved along with his siblings hours before he was due to be killed from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 22 September 2013.

MAXIMUS is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, micro-chipped and Heart-worm tested Negative. MAXIMUS has an estimated date of birth of 25 May 2013. He weighs around 65 pounds.

MAXIMUS can be very wary when he first meets new people, but when he has decided that you are ok, he is very affectionate and a complete love bug. He is very treat motivated and is once he trusts and understands that he now has his own forever family he will be very easy to train. He will just need a bit of time to adjust and learn to trust.

MAXIMUS is a smart boy and will benefit from basic and advanced training with his family. This not only is good for him to have training but is an excellent way of bonding and for both family and dog to learn expectations, boundaries, body language and each others personalities.

MAXIMUS would love a family that will spend lots of time with him and take him to new places to experience lots of different smells, sights and sounds.

MAXIMUS gets on great with other dogs and would love a family that had another dog that he could play, chase and wrestle with. He is wary of children as he is with adults until he has decided that they are ok, so as long as children respect and understand that dogs are not their toys and need to have their quiet time he would be fine. Of course small children at ALL times should be supervised with any dog.

Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.

MAXIMUS is currently located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine, however, we post in states along the east coast where transport is available.this gives our precious saved souls more exposure and once adopted, we are able to save more dogs from the kill shelters in Texas that get 3 days before they are killed.
