About ARLINGTON | |

|
ARLINGTON was saved from "Arlington Animal Care Services" Kill shelter. He was diagnosed HEARTWORM POSITIVE and so is scheduled for treatment with out vets on 7th / 8th March.
ARLINGTON can be adopted before this time, however, his appointment of course will still need to be kept. Should the family wish to have him treated at their own vet, this can be written into the contract, but it would be at their own expense.
ARLINGTON is a very sweet, affectionate, somewhat sensitive young boy. At first being amongst so many dogs was a little over-whelming for him, but he soon adjusted and plays now with both the pups, the medium sized dogs and happily with the other large adult males. ARLINGTON did try to show his dominance, a natural behaviour amongst dogs, and there have at no times been any kind of aggression.
ARLINGTON didn't like the idea of going in a crate initially, but he soon adjusted and happily goes in there now for his meals and bed time.
ARLINGTON has had no accidents in the house, but when I am home the door is open, so all dogs have constant access to the outside, so something his new family would need to train him in is how they want to be told he needs to go out.
ARLINGTON is a typical GSD in that he will lie and sit as close to me as he possibly can, but when I move - he moves, he will bond very quickly with the right family.
ARLINGTON is very sweet, his colouring is not so common as the traditional Black and Tan, so heads will almost definitely turn, not only from his size and stature but also his colour.
In regards to ARLINGTON's Heartworm disease, as mentioned he is scheduled for treatment in early March. This is a cureable disease and doesn't cause long term ailments unless left untreated. ARLINGTON is young and he is not showing any of the late symptoms. If ARLINGTON has stole your heart, please do not let these worms put you off because you will be missing out a magnificent new family member.
