|
DEVINE was transferred from a rescue in West Texas to GaDaH with her brother "Handsome". Devine is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, lepto, is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention, microchipped and at the of spay surgery on 4 June 2020 weighed 11 pounds. She has an estimated date of birth of 1 March 2020.
We are looking to adopt DEVINE & brother HANDSOME together.
Devine is a great pup, huge personality, very smart, already has pushing on the gate a certain way opens it, very affectionate, fun, loving, active, great with dogs of all ages and sizes, but is still bonded with her brother Handsome. They have similar pesonalities and are a lot of fun together.
As a puppy we are looking for a family that has the time and patience for all kinds of training, as much as Devine does go outside using the dog door, or at times use pee pads, she does not know to let anyone know to go outside, so accidents are to be exected and patience and training definitely needed. She has never had a collar and leash on so again patience and training is needed. We expecet families to work with her on basic and advanced training and work with her on manners. She is a pup and does jump up and around 5 months she will be teething and so chewing on anything that is available, including furniture, toys and such.
Devine is most likely going to be a medium/large size dog, so we are looking for an active family to take her on lots of adventures, who understands the need of excercise which is appropriate for her age and growth rate. Physical exercise and mental stimulation are key in having a happy dog.
We have not seen Devine around cats, livestock or children, so we expect families to take precautions when introducing her to new things. Her personality does not leave any concern as to her not being friendly with children, as long as they give her space, respect her and not treat her like their toy, she is still a baby!
