JAKE-3 was saved  from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine  JAKE-3 is neutered, core vaccines, rabies, heart-worm & tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 3 January 2017 and at the time of rescue in February 2020 weighed around 77 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.

JAKE-3 arrived at the rescue on Tuesday, 25th February, he is living in a kennel and settled in great. He loves to talk when he see's me and tells me all about how he is feeling, he enjoys going outside in his run and playing with his neighbours through the fence. He is a very social boy, who would make a great family addition.

He is a a fun active boy who needs a family that will take him on lots of adventures, walks, treks, hikes - take him places he can explore, take in the sights and smells the world has to offer. Training is critical for all new dogs when they join their families, not just for obedience but so that he can learn what is expected from him, boundaries and his new home rules. It is beneficial for the family to train him so that everyone can learn each others personalities and body language.

Jake-3 I believe would make an excellent family member, he is fun, friendly, affectionate, responsive and just an all round wonderful boy with a fantastic personality.

All dogs use dog doors to go out and do their business or to enjoy the cool, fresh weather in their dog runs or communal areas. We cannot say if a dog is house-trained, however, we expect families to understand that all dogs need a transition period and accidents could happen and training is most definitely needed.

All dogs are fed  Rachael Ray Nutrish PEAK Natural Dry Dog Food, Grain Free Western Grasslands Recipe with Bison.    Rachael Ray Nutrish Peak Dog Food receives the Dog Food Advisor’s second-highest tier rating of 4.5 stars.

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW HE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK.

JAKE-3 is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.

This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.
