ICE-Boy was saved  from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine  ICE-Boy is neutered, core vaccines, rabies, heart-worm & tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 5 February 2016 and at the time of rescue in February 2020 weighed around 61 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.

ICE-Boy arrived at the rescue on Tuesday, 25th February and is settling in well. He is located in a kennel and is a very sweet, gentle boy. When I go over, he comes up to greet me and enjoys having his ears scratched he is very friendly, loving and affectionate. He enjoys the company of the dogs that live on either side of him and he loves this cool Maine weather.

Ice would benefit from a family that is active and will take him on adventures, letting him explore the world and the sights, smells and sounds it has to offer. Training is a critical part of bringing a new dog home so that he can learn expectations, boundaries and with the family training him, both he and family can learn each others body language and personalities which will strengthen the bond. Ice I believe would make a great family dog with lots of love and affection to share and he just LOVES this north east cooler weather.

All dogs use dog doors to go out and do their business or to enjoy the cool, fresh weather in their dog runs or communal areas. We cannot say if a dog is house-trained, however, we expect families to understand that all dogs need a transition period and accidents could happen and training is most definitely needed.

All dogs are fed  Rachael Ray Nutrish PEAK Natural Dry Dog Food, Grain Free Western Grasslands Recipe with Bison.    Rachael Ray Nutrish Peak Dog Food receives the Dog Food Advisor’s second-highest tier rating of 4.5 stars.

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW HE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK.

ICE-Boy is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.

This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.
