DIVO was saved from Fort Worth Animal Shelter in Texas. He was transported from Texas to Sebec, Maine and arrived at the rescue on 12th August 2015.
DIVO is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, lepto vaccine, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 6 August 2006 and at the time of rescue he weighed around 10 pounds.
DIVO, considering he was an owner surrender to the shelter, for reasons that we do not know. settled in great at the rescue. He is sharing accommodation with two other small dogs and gets on great with them. At doggy playtime he comes out with all the other dogs, ranging from other Terriers to German Shepherds and is happy, although he does prefer to sit on a lap and get cuddles and his ears scratched.
DIVO is a "SENIOR" and so although still enjoys walks and car trips to new places, he is happy to hang out and watch the world go by with his family.
DIVO is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.

Our process takes around 3-7 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.

The rescue is located in Sebec, Maine, 04481 and we do prefer if families can travel up to meet the dog before taking them home to start their new lives, however, we do understand that this is not always possible and will work with you in finding suitable transport to get them to you. This may come at an additional cost to the adopter.
