MARK was saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 10th May 2015.
He looks like he could be a pure bred GSD, however, there is no guarantee and no way to tell, only as he grows and gets older will we know.
MARK is a very affectionate young puppy, who on the way back from the shelter climbed into my lap and settled down to sleep. He is underweight for a puppy his age, but we intend to fix that now he is safe at the rescue
MARK has been great with the other dogs, small dogs and grown adult GSDs. He is responsive and eager to come and give kisses and get his belly rubbed.
MARK will benefit from an active family that has the time and commitment to provide him with all his needs. As he grows his energy level will increase and when he reaches around 9 months old, he will have a LOT of energy and need a LOT of mental stimulation or he will become bored which could lead to destructive behaviour.
MARK will need basic and advanced obedience training with his family. This not only helps form a stronger bond, but allows both dog and humans to learn more about each others personalities, body language and expectations, which is critical when owning an intelligent dog.
MARK is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed and micro-chipped. He is too young to be tested for heartworm disease but has been on prevention since being at the rescue. He will need testing when he is around 9 months old.
MARK has an estimated date of birth of 8 February 2015 and at the time of rescue he weighed 8.30 pounds.
MARK is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450.
