CHIP is a beautiful small bi-coloured German Shepherd Dog that we saved from San Antonio Animal Care Services on 6th April 2015. She has a slight blue colouring to her left eye which makes her more unique.

When I first brought CHIP back to the rescue she was really scared, it appeared she had not been around other dogs before. However, within a few hours of getting to know them and realizing that this is a safe place and the dogs all loving and friendly she was running around, playing and very happy.

CHIP now settled has let her personality shine through, she is very loving and affectionate, she is playful, she is responsive and she is well mannered. She does jump up every now and again, but I find that almost all the dogs do that here at the rescue as they are competing for attention and affection with all the other dogs.

CHIP has a high energy level and she loves to run, chasing and playing with the other dogs, but she does know when to chill out and hang out near where I am. She gets on great with all the dogs of all sizes and we have small wire-haired terriers that she plays with too.

CHIP will benefit from a family that is active that can give her ways to release her energy but to also engage her brain. She needs both mental and physical exercise and needs to be challenged on both. CHIP as mentioned is very responsive and will benefit from basic and advanced obedience with her family. This not only helps to strengthen bonds, but also allows both human and dog to learn each others body language and personalities.

CHIP is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 1 April 2013 and at the time of rescue weighed around 49 pounds.

CHIP is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $200
