WADE was saved fro San Antonio Animal Care Services on 14 March 2015. She was all alone and scared in her kennel.
WADE was very shy and fearful when she first came to rescue, but within a couple of days had started spending more time with the other dogs and then a few more days and it was like she had been with them since she had been born. Her confidence has grown and at any sound outside that she is unsure of she is running out barking to let everyone know she is coming to see what is going on - although of course she has a lot of other dogs at her side.
WADE loves to play with the other dogs and she can play with the pups, the terriers or the adult German Shepherds equally and have as much fun with all of them. She likes her toys and is in that chewing phase of her life.
WADE is extremely affectionate and loves to come up on the bed, she will cuddle for a short time, but then finds her own space and sprawls out - clearly preparing for taking control of the bed when she is an adult.
WADE will benefit from an active family that is willing to take their dog to lots of new places, engage her in lots of different things and provide lots of stimulation that will satisfy her both physically and mentally. WADE has not been around children, but I feel she would absolutely adore then and provided that they respect her and understand she is not their toy and she too needs her own space, she would be a child/rens best friend for life.
WADE like all dogs will benefit from some basic and advanced training with his family, this not only helps to strengthen bonds, but allows both human and dog to learn each others personality and body language which is a vital thing in dog ownership.
WADE is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, and micro-chipped. She will need to be heart-worm tested when she is around 9 months old, she has however, been on prevention since her time at the rescue. She has an estimated date of birth of 11 November2014 and at the time of rescue weighed around 11 pounds.
WADE is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $450
