About NIKA | |

|
NIKA is a beautiful girl saved from Fort Worth Animal Care and Control.
She is very sweet and affectionate. She does seem to be a little protective of me and gets a little jealous if other dogs come close, but I think that is more from all the changes and uncertainty she has had the past few weeks. She will settle when she knows she is safe.
NIKA does have a lot of weight to gain and she will be a nice big girl when she has filled out. She is good with other dogs, we don't have cats in the rescue and so we are unable to say how she is with cats. She is very responsive though, which is an indicator that she can be guided / taught to leave cats alone if she does have that curiosity and if the family is willing and has the time to work with her.
NIKA will benefit from at least basic training so that she can learn what is expected of her and also so her new family can learn about her. She will need an active life to and be able to be mentally stimulated to keep that magnificent GSD brain active.
NIKA has an estimated date of birth of November 2011, she is spayed, rabies, up to date on vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm tested NEGATIVE and micro-chipped. She currently weighs around 62-65 pounds, but as mentioned needs to gain a good amount of weight.
NIKA is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.
