About MORK | |
|
|
MORK is a typical, young, energetic German Shepherd Dog. He was adopted a few months back, however, is being returned to rescue as he is too energetic for the families lifestyle.
MORK does still "mouth" a lot and although some people see this as playful and affectionate, it is extremely important that he be trained NOT to do this. Many people can perceive mouthing as biting and apart from that, it is not good manners for a dog to mouth!
MORK, as with all young German Shepherd Dogs needs as much mental stimulation as physical exercise. If they are not mentally challenged, they quickly become board and then get up to mischief.
Ongoing training, long walks, hikes, runs, going to new places and allowed to explore and take in all the new smells. Any kind of sport, agility, dock-diving, search and rescue, rally - all are excellent ways to keep him occupied.
MORK, or any young German Shepherd are not really suited to be a family dog with no obedience and stimulation.
MORK is in need of an experienced, active family that can cater to his needs and help him become the magnificent boy that he is.
MORK is neutered, rabies, up to date on vaccines, heart-worm tested NEGATIVE, micro-chipped and weighs around 70 pounds. He is estimated to be around 1 year old.
MORK is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.
