ZEKE is a handsome boy who no one could decide on his age:

The shelter first posted as 2 years old, when he came to me at rescue the paperwork said 7 years old, and when I took him to my vet for blood panel run she said around 5 years old.

However old he is, ZEKE has had a tough time, he is skin and bone and tested positive for Heartworm Disease. He is on antibiotics for a month and then will be scheduled for his treatment in October 2013. This will be paid for by the rescue.

ZEKE gets on great with the other dogs, he likes to talk and he loves to play with the puppies. Taking away his older look, which could very easily be due to being so starved, he does act like a young dog.

He is very gentle and affectionate and always wants to be by my side. He will make someone a great companion.

I took ZEKE to the vets for a full blood panel to be sure that everything else was ok, and thankfully everything came back great, his organs are good.

ZEKE is available for adoption now, as long as the family take him to his heartworm treatment appointment. He will need some rest after his treatment but will still be able to go on nice walks and be the best companion ever.

ZEKE's adoption donation is $200, which doesn't cover anything near the cost of his treatment.
