DALE was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved and transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine DALE is neutered core vaccines, rabies, heartworm and tick disease tested negative, de-wormed, monthly preventatives and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 22 October 2016 and at the time of rescue in December 2019 weighed around 67 pounds. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely.
DALE arrived at the rescue on Thursday, 19th December and has settled in well. He was initially a little shy and unsure of where he was, but after a few days he settled in. He has a BIG bark, as you would expect for a big handsome boy, but he doesn't bark for no reason. He is a very loving affectionate boy, who just wants to play and have fun.
DALE needs an active family that has the time to spend with a big handsome intelligent German Shepherd. He needs a family with an active life and who understands the importance of training and continued mental stimulation.
WE ARE NOT ABLE TO COMMENT HOW HE WILL BE AROUND CATS OR LIVESTOCK.
DALE is available for adoption for an adoption fee of US $550.
This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food, general day to day cost of running a brick and mortar rescue and anything else that is needed. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada.

Our process takes around 2-4 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements.
Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks.
